Gold Rush!!

I have been watching a show on the Discovery Channel called Gold Rush. Gold Rush is about six men risking everything for the chance to strike rich mining for gold in the wild Alaska. It’s great seeing people who are risking everything to provide for their families during this hard economic time. Discovery Channel has announced in their advertisements that gold prices are at an all time high. This adds to the risk and investment the crews/characters are embarking on and the need to be successful. After watching the first season where the miners failed, it was great to see they had high hopes for the next season. This reiterated for me the intensity other companies and individuals have when searching for new clients and work. Whether it’s part-time or full-time, we are competing everyday for our current jobs, future jobs and projects. Sometimes entertaining TV shows can remind us how fragile our jobs and contracts can be… keep fighting and pushing towards the impossible goal of perfection!
